There has been so much tea to sip on these past few weeks so much that I do not know where to start but let’s take a sip.
Ms Jackson if you nasty. We all know that a fair portion of this weekend belonged to Janet Jackson after the news broke of her pending divorce from her billionaire Qatari hubby, Wissam Al Mana. Janet just had a baby boy Eissa at 50 and is currently residing in London so this came as surprise however the story got even more interesting after it was leaked that Janet’s pre-nup agreement guarantees her $500M after 5 years of marriage and this divorce came 5 years and 2 months after. Calculated or coincidence? I am a diehard Janet fan and I would like to believe that this is not even about the money, I smell a dispute around raising Eissa, where to stay etc. She has also changed a lot since marrying Wissam including converting to Islam and completely moving away from her sexy image and having little to press for anything. That said alimony and child support will not be bad at all. If this really holds Janet will be the richest woman in music if you add that to her +/- R200M net worth, it might not all be from music but hey no need for hateration here. To think that they are people who date wealthy men and leave broke…sigh.
From one diva to the other who failed to keep a billionaire, Mariah Carey – there’s a lot going on in Mimi’s life. We found out that she just split from her toy boy back-up dancer Brian Tanaka whom she gave $25K per month for him to buy her gifts – only Mariah… but that is a good strategy at least she was getting her money back. I have always thought that this relationship was fake anyway but then again I might be wrong. On the more positive side Mimi has just signed a brand new deal with Epic records and she will be releasing her new album later this year. I hope that this album is the 2nd comeback of Mimi because since The Emancipation album nothing has been solid or stellar, great albums but they all sound like they were made up of tracks left from The Emancipation of Mimi with a few exceptions like Touch My Body and Beautiful.
Another surprising break-up was that of Mel B and her hubby of 10 years Stephen Belafonte. There have been rumours about their troubled marriage for a few years now. There have been outrageous abuse claims from Mel’s estranged sister and mother which I guess now have been confirmed. I her filing for the papers and a request for a restraining order Melanie has claimed that she was forced into threesomes and was threatened with a sex tape every time she declined. She has also claimed that she has been physically abused by Stephen so often that it starting becoming a norm for every time she made a stride in her career – it seems like that was his way of asserting his manhood in the relationship. I am utterly disgusted by these allegations. Some of the men that y’all marry though.
While there are a few break-ups there are also a few hook-ups. My favourite being JLo and ARod. I am living, breathing, pulsating for these two. I am loving this Latina love right here. I think this might be the man that balances J-Lo he is very successful in his own right, he is Latina and also not a lil’man like Marc Anthony, no shade but you know what they say about SMS. With this image they are “getting iconic very quick” as Solo would caption his images with Dineo.
Now this strange couple just happened, actor and comedian, David Spade is dating former Glee actress and the inspiration behind Big Sean’s smash hit I Don’t F*** With You, Naya Rivera. I do not know what to think about these two very odd. Naya’s taste in men goes from one polar end to another it is crazy but I suppose if the equipment works then it’s all good.
I am super excited about this next hook-up, it is Mama June from Here Comes Honey-Boo Boo and her new banging body. She is snatched to capacity. Go girl, live, exist, be alive. Surgery, hlasela amafutha or not she looks great. Bravo!
Keeping the congrats going, congrats to another Glee alumni, Amber Riley for nabbing the best actress award at the annual Olivier Awards for Dream Girls. Here’s to you and that role that keeps on giving.
A HUGE CONGRATS to Edward Enninful who has been named as the new British VOGUE editor-in-chief as of June 2017. This is huge for the Ghananian-born stylist and current creative director for W Magazine. Once again one of those moments that relate back Lupita Nyong’o’s Oscar speech – your dreams are valid…and they are.
Dream big today.
